Overview
Round Annapurna Homestay Tour begins with a trek from Ghalegaon, offering a unique opportunity to stay with locals and escape the tourist crowds. This lesser-known trek, nestled between the Annapurna Circuit and the Annapurna Base Camp, provides spontaneous encounters with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. The journey is enriched with cultural traditions, including traditional dances like Serka, Rodhi, Sorathi, Thode, Ghatu, and Argau, among others.
The Annapurna Circuit started gaining prominence in 1977 when the Manang Valley was opened by the Nepalese government. Previously closed due to its proximity to the Tibetan border, this trek has since become increasingly popular. Its major appeal lies in offering a diverse exploration of landscapes and ethnic cultures. Throughout the itinerary, you'll engage in regular interactions with villagers and enjoy magnificent panoramas of towering peaks.
During this trek, you traverse from fertile lands and low-altitude rice fields dominated by Hindu culture, gradually ascending to the "hills" before reaching Manang. The northern side of the Annapurna is a world of high mountains and the domain of Tibetan Buddhism. Crossing the Thorung La pass (5416 m) adds excitement to the adventure, making it an unforgettable experience. After the pass, the deep Kali Gandaki valley unfolds, providing new landscapes to discover.
